Coalition Influence Historian / Researchers

The Historical Analysis Team at dstl asked RED to provide EMR historians and researchers for an operational analysis study looking at member state contributions in coalition operation since 1918.

The task was to develop a framework for the analysis in collaboration with the HA Team. Rankings were assigned for each of the collation members contributions based on the perceived new "influence" held over the execution, the objectives and policy during the operation.

RED was required to advise on the notional relevance and practicality of data available for research. In addition, the requirement was to:

• Identify, extract and, where necessary, reconcile contrasting or contradictory information from the documents; and
• Produce a case study report detailing the information and data available.
